A little bit of topic - but at least it "almost" sounds the same as geology - a question on genealogy - 
Can anyone recommend any good American webpages with open records of immigrants to the USA. Im doing a litte bit of genealogy and every tip would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Forget about 1 site. There is no JUST 1 site for American records of immigrants.
What you need is the capability of looking into hundreds of databases at the same time, for a specific person.
I will recommend you to use MyHeritage FREE genealogical research tool to search for what ever person you would like.
